Default Searing won't happen?

When you're in the presearing

and in the northlands... there's a part where about 50 charr are, all around a pot.. and a few bosses... I remember the cinematic when going to the searing.. and that's where it all started... so if you killed every single one of those charr... and the bosses (red eye the unholy and so on) even though it's almost impossible... but would the searing happen if you did?

You can get to level 16 killing the charr north of the wall over and over. After this they don't give experience to get to any higher levels.

And that is when you start turning in your quest rewards and doing the remaining quests to get to level 20, if you want to.

Level 20 in Pre-Searing? Isn't that kind of like the kid who stays in second grade until he's 11, and has to sit in the back because he's taller than everyone?

No, it's for people who aren't any good at PvP but still want to be best at something.

Well that's one way I suppose.. but having just run 3 new chars though Pre in the last couple of weeks, I have found that doing *all* the quests only get you to about level 5 or 6.. which total experience is probably not even one level at level 16.

Most people who got to higher levels in Pre did it by luring some char back to the res shrine, letting the Char kill them, and then going AFK for hours so the Charr kill them, they res at the shrine, Charr kill them again, and again.. this levels up the enemy, until it is high enough level that you *do* get experience from them.

I hear this still works, but you can't lure them back to the shrine anymore, so you have to do it manually (ie run to Charr, die, ressurect, run back to them and die again, and again). Sounds like a complete pain in the arse.

I have never done this BTW. I always leave pre-sear by level 7 at the latest. Often much earlier.

I know a way the searing doesn't happen. Don't go post . Or, don't ever make contact with Gwen. EVER. [/conspiracy]

Yeah -- the storyline comes to a halt...

I believe there is an adjunct forum with a thread entitled "ask a stupid question get a stupid answer"...

hmmm, perchance this may belong in there
